CBSE Assessment Framework & Guidelines
Study Well Public School strictly adheres to the continuous and comprehensive evaluation system prescribed by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. Our assessment structure is designed to evaluate both scholastic learning and co-scholastic holistic development.
Scholastic Evaluation (Classes I - X)
- Periodic Test 1 (PT-1): Conducted in July/August (Weightage 10%).
- Mid-Term / Half-Yearly Exam: Conducted in September/October (Weightage 30%).
- Periodic Test 2 (PT-2): Conducted in December/January (Weightage 10%).
- Annual Examination: Conducted in February/March covering full syllabus (Weightage 50%).
- Internal Assessment: Notebook submission, lab practical records, subject enrichment activities, and portfolio (20 marks).
Senior Secondary (Classes XI - XII)
- Unit Tests, Half-Yearly Examinations, and two rounds of mandatory Pre-Board Examinations.
- Practical assessments conducted in fully certified laboratories as per CBSE external guidelines.
- Passing criteria: Minimum 33% marks separately in both theory and practical components of each subject.
- Minimum 75% aggregate attendance is strictly required to qualify for CBSE Board Admit Cards.
Unfair Means & Re-Examination Policy
Any candidate caught using unfair means during assessments will receive immediate cancellation of that paper and may face disciplinary suspension. Re-examinations are only scheduled in genuine medical exigencies supported by government hospital certification.
